Build Jam

Working in teams, students will explore real-world issues including climate change, housing affordability, carbon, construction methods, circular economy, and healthy homes. Through fast-paced design activities, collaborative thinking, and creative making, participants will develop ideas for the future of housing and present their concepts at the end of the event.

The Build Jam is designed to be energetic, accessible, and practical. No prior experience in architecture or construction is needed, just curiosity, imagination, and a willingness to work with others. Students will gain insight into how architects, designers, builders, engineers, and construction professionals think about the future of our homes, cities, and communities.

There will be food, prizes, and opportunities to meet others who are interested in shaping the future of the built environment.
